vivo v70 new series - launching with new amazing lens

Vivo V70 Series Are Here – Here is Everything You Need to Know

Listen, Vivo is about to launch two new phones on February 19th, and from what I have been seeing in all the leaks and official teasers, these phones look really interesting.

The company is bringing the Vivo V70 and the V70 Elite together and both phones seem to have some features that will make you stop and think.

Let me tell you everything I know about these phones in the simplest way possible, because I have been following this launch very closely.

Camera Setup

Alright, so the biggest talking point about these phones is the camera system. Vivo has partnered with Zeiss again and this time they are calling it the Zeiss V70 main camera. From what i understand after going through all the specifications and leaked images, both phones are getting some serious camera upgrades that will make photography lovers very happy.

The regular V70 is coming with a triple camera setup on the back. You are getting a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation which is great news because it means your photos will come out sharp and clear even if your hand shakes a little bit while taking the picture.

Then there is an 8MP ultrawide camera for those big group photos or when you want to capture a wide landscape view. And finally, there is a 2MP macro camera for taking close-up shots of small things like flowers or insects.

Now, the V70 Elite is where things get even more interesting. This phone is getting a better camera system with a 50MP main sensor that also has OIS, but the quality is supposed to be even better. There is also an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera, similar to the regular V70.

But what makes the Elite version special is the improved Zeiss optics and better image processing. From what I have read, the Elite model will handle low light photography much better and will give you more professional-looking photos.

For selfies, both phones are getting a 32MP front camera. That is a lot of megapixels for selfies, and it should mean you get really detailed and clear self portraits. Whether you are taking selfies for Instagram or doing video calls with family, that 32MP sensor should handle everything really well.

The front camera also comes with various beauty modes and AI enhancements, though I personally prefer natural-looking photos over heavily edited ones.

Performance and Hardware

Now let me talk about what is inside these phones, because performance matters a lot when you are using your phone every day. The Vivo V70 Elite has already been spotted on Geekbench, which is a website that tests how powerful phones are. According to that listing, the V70 Elite is coming with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor paired with 8GB of RAM.

This is really good news. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is a powerful chip that can handle heavy gaming, multitasking and all those resource without any lag or slowdown. In the Geekbench tests, the phone scored around 1,820 points in single core performance and about 4,989 points in multi core performance. These are solid scores that tell us the phone can handle pretty much anything you throw at it.

The regular V70 is expected to come with either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or a similar powerful processor. Even if it is slightly less powerful than the Elite version, it should still handle all your daily tasks, gaming sessions and app usage without any problems. Both phones will most likely come in multiple storage options, probably starting from 128GB and going up to 256GB or even 512GB for people who store a lot of photos, videos and apps on their phones.

What i really appreciate is that Vivo seems to be giving importance to RAM management. With 8GB or more RAM, you can keep multiple apps running in the background without them closing automatically. This means when you switch between your social media apps, browser and games, everything stays loaded and ready to use.

Display Quality

Both phones are coming with large AMOLED displays. From the leaked information and official teasers, it looks like we are getting around 6.7 to 6.8 inch screens on both models. AMOLED technology is great because it gives you deep black colors, vibrant and punchy colors and good contrast. Whether you are watching YouTube videos, Netflix shows or playing games, that ALOLED screen will make everything look really nice.

The displays are also expected to support high refresh rates, probably 120Hz or even higher. What this means in simple terms is that everything on your screen will move and scroll very smoothly. When you swipe through your apps or scroll through Instagram, it will feel much more fluid and responsive compared to regular 60Hz displays that most budget phones have. Once you get used to high refresh rate displays, going back to 60Hz feels slow and laggy.

The screens will also have good peak brightness levels, which means you will be able to see what is on your display even when you are outside in bright sunlight. This is really important in India where the sun can be quite harsh, and you do not want to be squinting at your phone screen trying to read messages or see directions on maps.

Battery and Charging

Battery life is something i always pay close attention to when reviewing phones, because what is the point of having a powerful phone if it dies by lunchtime? Both the V70 and V70 Elite are expected to come with around 5000 to 5500mAh batteries. This is a good battery size that should easily get you through a full day of normal usage.

What makes it even better is the fast charging support. Vivo usually puts good fast charging technology in their V series phones, and these new models are expected to support somewhere around 80W to 100W fast charging. This means even that big battery will charge up really quickly. You can plug in your phone for maybe 20 to 30 minutes while you are getting ready in the morning, and it will charge up enough to last you the whole day.

Some reports are also suggesting there might be wireless charging support, at least on the Elite model. Wireless charging is convenient because you can just place your phone on a charging pad without dealing with cables. Though honestly, with fast wired charging being so quick, wireless charging is more of a nice to have feature rather than a must have.

Design and Colors

From all the images i have seen, both phones look really premium and well designed. Vivo is offering multiple color options including some really nice shades like pink, gray and gold. The pink color in particular looks very elegant and different from the usual black and blue colors that most phones come in.

The back of the phones seems to have a smooth finish with a large camera module that houses all the lenses. The camera module design is quite prominent and distinctive, which makes the phone look expensive and premium. The sides are likely to be flat or slightly curved and the overall build quality seems solid based on the promotional images.

Both phones will probably have an in display fingerprint sensor for unlocking which is fast and convenient. There might also be face unlock support using the front camera, giving you multiple options to unlock your phone quickly.

Price and Availability

Now, the most important question everyone wants answered is the price. Vivo has not officially announced the pricing yet, but based on leaks and the positioning of these phones, i would expect the regular V70 to be priced somewhere around ₹35,000 to ₹40,000. The V70 Elite, being the more premium version with better specifications, will likely cost around ₹45,000 to ₹50,000.

These prices would put both phones in the premium mid range segment, competing directly with phones from Samsung, OnePlus, and other brands in that price bracket. Whether the pricing is justified will depend on the final specifications and how well these phones actually perform in real world usage.

The launch is happening on February 19th and i expect pre orders to start shortly after that, with actual availability probably coming by late February or early March. Vivo usually offers some launch discounts and exchange offers, so if you are planning to buy one of these phones, it might be worth waiting for those launch deals.

My Opinion

vivo v70 elite new series

Look, I have been reviewing and following phones for a long time and based on everything i have seen about the Vivo V70 and V70 Elite, these seem like solid phones that offer good value in their segment. The Zeiss camera partnership is always a plus point because it usually means better photo quality.

The powerful Snapdragon processors ensure smooth performance. The big AMOLED displays with high refresh rates make daily usage enjoyable. And the large batteries with fast charging mean you will not be constantly worried about running out of power.

The V70 Elite, in particular, seems like it could be a really strong option for people who want flagship level features but do not want to spend flagship level money. The regular V70 should be perfect for people who want a good all around phone without any major compromises.

If you are someone who loves taking photos, the Zeiss cameras on these phones should give you really good results. If you play games or use heavy apps, the Snapdragon processors will keep everything running smoothly. And if you just want a phone that looks good, feels premium and works well for all your daily tasks, both of these phones seem like they will deliver.

I would say wait for the official launch on February 19th to see the final pricing and all the confirmed specifications. Then compare these phones with what else is available in the market at that price point. But based on what i know so far, the Vivo V70 and V70 Elite are definitely worth keeping on your radar if you are planning to buy a new phone soon.
